Imitation of Life – Barnsley College Print Show
21st March 2024
Imitation of Life is an exhibition of multi-discipline prints of plant life and natural forms based on biomimicry created by Barnsley College UAL L3 Creative Practice Diploma students.
The exhibition is an annual event which takes place in the Sadler Room of the Cooper Gallery and is on until 6th April.
College students study artworks from either the Cooper Gallery’s permanent collection or visiting exhibitions and this year they have focussed on the permanent collection. Their work in class has been inspired by the research and the prints on display are the result of their hard work.
The prints are available to purchase, so this is a great opportunity to own some original art by a talented, young artist from the area.
Alison Cooper, Exhibitions Officer at Barnsley Museums, said ‘We are delighted to host this very special exhibition once again. The quality is of an extremely high standard, demonstrating the level of teaching on this course and the creativity of the students.’
