Rare volume of maps return back to Barnsley

Barnsley Archives and Local Studies has seen the return of some rare maps. With the help of Barnsley Museums & Heritage Trust, Barnsley Archives and Local Studies have successfully purchased a volume of fifteen rare hand drawn Barnsley maps dating back to 1800.

Conservation Fund

We have recently funded an exciting restoration project of Victorian clothing , an 18th century chair and the most beautiful ceramic tile designed by AWN Pugin (1812-1852) the Gothic architect who designed the interiors of the Houses of Parliament.
