Cooper Gallery nominated for Prestigious Award
8th July 2024
The Cooper Gallery is thrilled to announce that they have been shortlisted for the Kids in Museums, Family Friendly Museum Award 2024 in the Best Accessible Museum category.
This is in recognition of their efforts to make the gallery welcoming and inclusive for all families with children and young people.
The Gallery is a vibrant and creative space where you can explore outstanding collections, exciting touring exhibitions and lots of free family activities. Whether you want to discover art, get creative, have fun or relax, there is something for everyone.
The Kids in Museums Family Friendly Museum Award is the only museum award in the UK to be judged by families. Please spread the word and share your experiences of visiting the Cooper Gallery with your family and friends on social media using the hashtag #FamilyFriendlyMuseum.
The Cooper Gallery would like to thank all the families who voted for them and the museum experts who added them to the shortlist.
You can follow the Family Friendly Museum Award on social media by following @kidsinmuseums and #FamilyFriendlyMuseum.
The Cooper Gallery is currently hosting a vibrant and family friendly exhibition – Paws, Claws, Tales and Roars – based on the wonderful work of renowned children’s book author and illustrator, Brian Wildsmith. If visiting, don’t miss the Sadler room upstairs where you will find Brian’s Wild Wood – perfect for entertaining younger visitors – and The Next Generation, a display of winning works from the Arts Competition for Schools 2024.
