Open Archives days at Wentworth Castle Gardens
19th April 2024
Wentworth Castle Gardens is home to a dedicated team of volunteers who have been researching the archives there.
They will be sharing the riches of the archives with visitors on a number of Open Archive days this year, the first of which will be on 7th May.
Pop in to discover something new about the fascinating history of this site and those who have lived and worked there. The volunteers will also be asking visitors to share any knowledge they may have that would help with a new research project – ‘Past estate workers of Wentworth Castle.’
If you have a specific area of interest, please email in advance at wentworthcastlegardens@nationaltrust.org.uk so the volunteers can look into your query.
If you cannot make the May open day, future dates will be 2nd July and 12th November and all three events run from 10am to 12 noon.
