Medieval Mayhem

Head to Monk Bretton Priory on the 18^th or 19^th May to explore life from the 12^th Century onwards. 

Find out about how battles were fought and won, how armour and weaponry developed through the ages. Learn about the lives of people who lived at the time, from basket weavers to blacksmiths.   

The weekend will feature Knights Tournaments, Jester Shows, archery, a Medieval Puppet Theatre and much more. There will also be a farmer’s market plus food and drink outlets. 

Barnsley Museums will be there with a stand, and you will have to opportunity to enter a prize draw if you sign up to receive our FREE monthly newsletter with them whilst at the event. 

The event runs 11am to 4pm both days and is FREE to enter, although donations on the day are very welcome.
