This year is set to be action-packed at Barnsley Museums with something for everyone to enjoy, including a variety of exhibitions, events, workshops, talks and film screenings.

An out of this world exhibition will be landing in the Cooper Gallery in January with a temporary exhibition of the ‘Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2018’ – a prestigious display of work produced by the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
Historical and contemporary displays at Experience Barnsley Museum tell the story of the town’s history – don’t miss the Great War exhibition on until the 31 March.
Families can enjoy a day out at Cannon Hall Park & Gardens to discover the outstanding fine and decorative art collections in the hall or take a winter walk in the grounds.
Elsecar Heritage Centre is a bustling hive of activity all year round. With shops, antique centre, children’s play area, cafes and craft beer experience all surrounded by centuries of rich history.
And lovers of nature and the great outdoors will enjoy a visit to Worsbrough Mill & Country Park to watch the wildlife and history of the mill come to life.
