Voices Blooming Returns to Wentworth Castle Gardens

14th April 2026

As the gardens burst into colour this spring, visitors to Wentworth Castle Gardens can once again enjoy the uplifting sounds of community choirs as part of the much-loved Voices Blooming event.

Following the success of last year’s gathering, local choirs will come together to celebrate the beauty of the natural world, performing in some of the most picturesque spots across the gardens. It’s a chance to slow down, soak in the scenery, and experience live music in a truly unique setting.

This special event forms part of the wider Festival of Blossom – a nationwide celebration of nature, renewal, and community spirit.

This year’s line-up features three inspiring local groups:

  • Uplift Choir, bring together people of all ages and backgrounds, using singing to support wellbeing and mental health.
  • Body of Sound, a Sheffield-based women’s choir with an incredible 29-year history.
  • Civic Pride Singers, a vibrant singing and social group for the LGBTIA+ community in Barnsley, joining the event for the first time.

Alongside the performances, visitors can also take part in blossom-themed craft activities, perfect for all ages.

Event details:

  • 11:30am – 2:30pm
  • Free event (normal garden admission applies)
  • No booking required

Whether you’re a music lover, a nature enthusiast, or simply looking for a relaxing day out, promises a joyful celebration of spring not Voices Blooming to be missed.
