The Collections Trust Award
12th April 2021
The Collections Trust Award highlights the often-unsung achievements of those who manage the collections that lie at the heart of all museums. This year’s Collections Trust conference will take place online on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 October 2021. This year’s awards had some great entries. The judges found drawing up the shortlist very difficult. However, these are the museums and projects that made it through to the final round:
- Experience Barnsley: 2020 redisplay (image above © Barnsley Museums)
- Garstang Museum of Archaeology, Liverpool: Creating virtual 3D models of museum objects for teaching and outreach
- Gladstone Pottery Museum, Stoke-on-Trent: Index card digitisation
- Kiplin Hall and Gardens, near Richmond, North Yorkshire: acquiring and cleaning the Annie Marchant Kitchen and Dairy Collection in lockdown
- St Fagans National Museum of History, Cardiff: Collecting Covid
- Verdant Works, Dundee: Recording knowledge of jute processing machines
