Kids in Museums Takeover Day at Cannon Hall 23rd October

On Thursday 23rd October we’re handing over the keys to Year 6 from Barugh Green Primary School as they take over Cannon Hall Museum as part of Kids in Museums Takeover Day! 

Come and meet the new temporary Front of House staff who will give you a warm welcome before the highly skilled trainee Learning Assistants and engaging Visitor Service Assistants show you how to make spooky Halloween decorations and delight you with original stories based on Cannon Hall’s ceramic collection. 

This was a fantastic event last year, and Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust are thrilled to have been able to fund this again this year, working in partnership with Barnsley Museums and Fusion, Barnsley’s Local Cultural Educational Partnership.  

Join in the fun and find out what our new mini museum workers have in store as Cannon Hall is get taken over! 

The event is free to drop in between 11am and 2pm.
