Cooper Prize 2021

Shortlisting has now taken place for the Cooper Prize 2021.
Judges had the arduous task of shortlisting artists from over 360 entries of which the quality was outstanding. A rigorous and robust online scoring mechanism was designed to allow the judges to evaluate all of the submission safely and fairly.
Although the decision was extremely difficult to make, shortlisting for each category is as follows; all of which will be on display as part of the exhibition
The Cooper Prize – 68 shortlisted
The Sadler Award – 34 shortlisted
The Fox Gift -19 shortlisted
Liz Leek, Deputy Principal Culture, Place and Communities at Barnsley College created an additional prize the ‘Barnsley College Special Award for Originality and Skills’ for students and emerging artists
The winners of each category will be announced at a special live-streamed event on Friday, 19 March at 7 pm on Facebook and YouTube. We hope you can join us then.
