Barnsley Museums to re-open 17th May
11th May 2021
Barnsley Museums are looking forward to opening their doors to you all once again next week – it’s been far too long.
Experience Barnsley and The Cooper Gallery will open on Monday 17th May, and Cannon Hall Museum will throw open the doors on Tuesday 18th May.
You will be able to see all the entrants to this year’s Cooper Prize at the Cooper Gallery, whilst at Experience Barnsley have a new exhibition, I Grew Up in the 80’s, plus they have taken the opportunity to revamp the displays in their galleries.
If you cannot wait until Monday, you can have a preview here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ul-p2_w4FlU&t=21s
Whilst the shop remains open at Elsecar Heritage Centre, we are not yet able to open the gallery to the public, and the shop and mill at Worsbrough remain closed whilst they are refurbished. Further information regarding their opening dates will follow. The businesses at Elscar and Miller’s Tea Room, however, are open if you are in need of retail therapy or refreshment.
