Activities for Under 5s 

Finding fun, engaging, and educational activities for little ones can be a challenge, but Barnsley Museums has plenty to offer for children under five! From creative play and story time to hands-on learning experiences, there are opportunities for toddlers and their families to explore, learn, and grow together. Whether your child loves to get messy with arts and crafts, discover new sounds and textures, or simply enjoy imaginative play, there’s something for every young adventurer to enjoy. 

Teeny Time Traveller’s Club 

Held on Fridays during term time at Experience Barnsley, let your little adventurers have the chance to play, explore, make, share stories and sing. There are plenty of toys to play with and there is a different themed activity each week. Please see below for the upcoming schedule:

Mini Wonders 

Join Worsbrough Mill for this 8-week course for families with children aged 2-4 years. From playing games, listening to stories and getting creative, you’ll discover tips and ideas on how to support your child’s growth and development. To get involved, email learning@barnsley.gov.uk
