Experience Barnsley’s 10-Year Anniversary Celebrated In Style

Everyone had a great time at the Experience Barnsley birthday party on 27th June, marking 10 years since the museum opened its doors to the public.
Cake was eaten, a giant birthday card signed and we enjoyed some fabulous new short films showcasing what the museum has to offer and what Barnsley means to the people who live and work there.
Tutankhamun found a new home – more on this to follow – and a fantastic model of the Town Hall by the talented artis, Amanda Stoner was unveiled. Each window of the model features one of the more popular exhibitions that have been hosted by the museum over the last 10 years.
