Family Memories of Experience Barnsley

We first visited Experience Barnsley for my 21st (again) birthday in 2018, specifically to see the God’s Land in God’s County exhibition there. It included selected objects from Museums across Yorkshire which highlighted fascinating connections between Ancient Egypt and our county dating back to 1610.
The boys had always been fascinated by Egypt, so off we headed and had a fabulous time. Not only did they enjoy the Egyptian exhibition – particularly the dressing up – but found loads of other exciting stuff in the main exhibitions.
William was especially pleased to find his name on the floor in the corridor and they had to be dragged away from the archaeological digging! They even enjoyed a ride in the lift.
