It’s lovely to have events in full swing at Elsecar Heritage Centre again and here are details of what’s coming up in the next few weeks.
SUPPA CLUB
Barnsley’s dedicated street food, craft beer and live music event where you can expect the tastiest food, thirst-quenching beverages and just one heck of a good time in general.
The best street food, DJ’s and all-round entertainment will be at Elsecar on the following dates:
Friday 29th October – 5 pm till 11 pm
Saturday 30th October – 12 noon till 11 pm
Friday 17th December – 5 pm till 11 pm
Saturday 18th December – 12 noon till 11 pm
Parking and entry are free, you just need to buy your own food and drink.

DOG SHOWS
We’re so excited about Elsecar hosting 2 dog shows that our tails are wagging!
On 7th November Rotherham and District Cocker Spaniel Club will be holding their bi-annual Kennel Club certified breed championship show, and the following week on 13th November there will be the Northern Schnauzer Club NSC Championship Show.

ANTIQUES AND CRAFT FAIRS
For those of us who love a bit of retail therapy there are craft and antique fairs on the following dates:
Unique Craft Fair – Sunday 31st October

Antiques Fair – Sunday 14th November

ELESECAR TOURS
And if you’re there on a weekend, why not enjoy a fascinating history tour with expert guides. Discover how the Earls Fitzwilliam created a new model village, with bustling workshops, mighty ironworks, and deep dark collieries. Find out what it was like to work here, and what happened when Royalty and aristocrats came to visit.
Tours start at the Visitor Centre at 2 pm, every Saturday and Sunday. They are socially distanced, cost £5 per person, and last around 90 minutes. Tours should be booked and paid for in advance, by popping into the Visitor Centre or calling 01226 740203.
