Museums and Heritage 2021 Awards Shortlist

It’s fabulous to hear that Barnsley Museums have been shortlisted for the Museums and Heritage Awards 2021 in the ‘Best Use of Digital’ category for their response to the Covid pandemic.

The other nominees are the British Museum, London Transport Museum, National Trust, National Galleries of Scotland and the National Portrait Gallery – so Barnsley Museums are amongst very illustrious company.

We know many of you will have enjoyed much of the on-line content, from on-line jigsaws, to virtual tours and live concerts and even a very early dawn chorus broadcast!

The virtual ceremony takes place on 1^st July, and we wish them the best of luck as we know they have all worked extremely hard to achieve the excellent results that have merited this nomination.
