Barnsley Museums revise opening hours
14th December 2016
Barnsley Museums have revised their opening hours, which will see an overall increase in hours opened.
Cannon Hall has new seasonal opening hours, which will see the stunning Georgian Country House remain open to the public longer into the winter months. This year the Hall will now be open Thursday and Fridays throughout winter, as well as the weekends. It will be closed for conservation works from Saturday, 24 December and reopen Sunday 22 January, a month earlier than previous years.
Experience Barnsley’s Sunday opening hours will undergo a small change and the attraction will now close at 3pm on Sunday rather than 4pm.
All Barnsley Museums sites which include Elsecar Heritage Centre, Worsbrough Mill, Cooper Gallery, Experience Barnsley and Worsbrough Mill, will open one hour later on the first Monday of every month so staff training can be undertaken.

They attract over one million visitors each year and offer a great day out no matter what your age. The short periods of time that the sites will be closed for staff training will ensure we continue to improve the customer experience even more.”
